Luke Dow
Hi! My name is Luke Dow, and I am working towards my undergraduate degree at the University of Utah. My first few years at the U were a little unsystematic. I bounced from subject to subject, trying to discern what I wanted to focus in, until finally landing in geology at the end of my second year. I have stayed in this field since, and my excitement for it has just continued to grow with each semester. I relish the opportunity to continue my education both in and out of school!
When not tutoring students or going to school I like to read, spend time with my family/friends, play the piano, sing, and hang out outdoors. I was raised skiing, hiking, and biking in the Wasatch Mountains, and will take any opportunity to spend the day exploring the wilderness. I learned about Higher Ground Learning from a friend and fellow tutor, and knew immediately that it was the ideal job for me. I am increasingly enthusiastic about learning, and I love passing this enthusiasm on to others. I believe education is the backbone of our society, and getting kids excited about learning is one of the highest achievements one can accomplish.
